Official Rules

NO PURCHASE OR INTERNET ACCESS NECESSARY. Void where prohibited. Contest is only offered to eyecare professionals residing in the European Union, 18 years of age or older. This Contest and these Official Rules are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom and any claim arising out of or related to or concerning the Contest and/or these Official Rules must be brought in an appropriate Court in the United Kingdom.

How to Play: From 30 September 2004 through 1 December 2005, each eligible 20/20 Europe (the “Magazine”) reader response form submitted via electronic mail, online entry if available, fax or postal mail to the the Jobson Publishing L.L.C. (“Jobson”) office named in these rules, will constitute one entry into a random drawing. Entries may also be submitted by sending a postcard containing the message “20/20 Europe Reader Response”, the name, address, telephone number, and statement that the entrant is 18 years of age or over, to Jobson Publishing L.L.C., 58 Queensway, Suite 101, Bayswater, London W2 3RW, United Kingdom (the “Jobson European Correspondence Office”). Mail entries must be sent to the address above, postmarked by 1 December 2005 and received by Jobson no later than 10 December 2005.. Hand-delivered entries will not be accepted. Only one entry per person per issue of the Magazine will be accepted.

Jobson and its affiliated companies are not responsible for errors, omissions, interruptions, deletions, defects in part or whole, delays in operations or transmission, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to or alterations of entry materials, or for any technical or non-technical network, telephonic, electronic, computer, hardware or software malfunctions of any kind, or inaccurate or partial transmission of or failure to receive entry information by Jobson on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet, at any web site or any combination thereof. Jobson and its affiliated companies are not responsible for any injury or damage to entrant's or any other person's computer related to or resulting from playing or downloading any materials in the Contest , or for entries sent via postal mail that are lost, late, misdirected, damaged, incomplete, altered, illegible or postage-due. All entries become the property of Jobson and will not be returned. Jobson reserves the right to cancel temporarily or permanently the electronic method of Contest entries if it becomes technically corrupted.

Participants will be disqualified, at the sole discretion of Jobson, if they attempt (i) to enter in the Contest through any means other than as described in these Official Rules; or (ii) to disrupt the Contest , circumvent the terms and conditions of these Official Rules, or in any way tamper with the Contest . If either of the above occurs, Jobson reserves the right to remedy any such action, disruption, or circumvention, and to seek damages from the participant to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Official Rules: By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of Jobson , and waive any right to claim ambiguity in the Contest or these Official Rules. All decisions regarding the Contest , including, but not limited to, selecting a winner, will be made by Jobson , whose decision shall be final. To obtain a copy of the Official Rules by mail send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to: the Jobson European Correspondence Office, Attn: Customer Service-Contest Rules. Requests must be received by 1 November 2005. The Official R ules are subject to change at any time without notice.

Prizes and Odds: There is only one prize, payable in cash. The amount of the cash prize depends upon the total number of eligible entries received in the Contest. If more than 5000 eligible entries are received, then the amount of the prize will be €1000 (One Thousand Euros). If more than 2500 eligible entries are received, but totaling less than 5000 eligible entries, then the amount of the prize will be €500 (Five Hundred Euros). If more than 1000 eligible entries are received, but totaling less than 2500 eligible entries, then the amount of the prize will be €250 (Two Hundred and Fifty Euros). If more than 500 eligible entries are received, but totaling less than 1000 eligible entries, then the amount of the prize will be €100 (One Hundred Euros). If less than 500 eligible entries are received, the prize will be €10 (Ten Euros).One winner will receive a check or bank transfer for the amount of the prize. All winning entries are subject to verification. Odds of winning and amount of prize will depend on actual number of eligible entries received. Limit one prize per person.

The winner will be selected from the pool of eligible entries in an electronically randomized manner in a d rawing held on or about 15 December 2005. If Jobson determines in its sole discretion that there is any suspected or actual electronic tampering with the Contest or if technical difficulties compromise the integrity of the Contest, it reserves the right to void the entries at issue, and/or terminate the Contest and conduct a random drawing to award the prize using all eligible entries received as of the termination date. Attempts to contact the winner will begin on the day of the drawing, and the winner has 10 days from the date of their notification to contact Jobson to claim their prize. The winner will be required to sign and return an affidavit of eligibility and liability/publicity release within 10 days of notification. Failure to return the affidavit in the time noted will result in disqualification of the entry and the random selection of an alternate winner. If the winner does not comply with the Official Rules, he/she will be disqualified and an alternate winner will be selected. Return of any prize or prize notification as "undeliverable" will result in disqualification and an alternate winner will be selected. If Jobson is not successful in contacting the winner (whether the original one selected or any alternate selected pursuant to the provisions of these Rules) within twenty days of the first attempt at notification, that entry will be disqualified, and an alternate winner will be selected.

The prize winner will be notified by phone, postal mail, fax, and/or email using the contact information provided on the entry and Jobson is under no obligation to notify the winner by any means other than as described above. If a winner's contact information (as provided on the entry) is no longer valid, the entry will be disqualified and an alternative winner will be selected. If a winner entered by mailing a Reader Response or postcard using postal mail, the notification will be sent to the address that was printed on the entry sent by postal mail. Jobson is not responsible for notifications that are misdirected or not received because of: i) e-mail addresses or mailing addresses that are no longer correct, or ii) any other reason not within the normal control of Jobson.

No transfer of the prize permitted. The person who submitted the Reader Response shall be deemed the entrant. No prize substitutions except as provided herein. Jobson reserves the right to substitute the prize with similar items of like value or cash alternative should featured prize become unavailable. By accepting the prize, winner consents to the use of his/her name, photo, voice, likeness and/or biographical information for advertising and promotional purposes without further compensation, except where prohibited.

Eligibility: Participants must be eyecare professionals residing in the European Union, 18 years of age or older. Employees of Jobson Publishing L.L.C., its respective affiliates, their advertising or promotion agencies or other individuals engaged in any way in the development, production or distribution of the Magazine and/or the Contest, and persons who are immediate family members of, or who live in the same household as, any person in any of the preceding categories are not eligible. By entering this Contest, you represent to Jobson that you meet the above requirements.

By participating in the Contest , you agree to release and holdJobson Publishing L.L.C., and its directors, officers, employees and agents, and all prize suppliers harmless from any and all losses, damages, rights, claims, and actions of any kind in connection with the Contest or any product purchased, or resulting from acceptance, possession, use or misuse of any prize, including, without limitation, personal injuries, death, and property damage, and claims based on publicity rights, defamation, or invasion of privacy, whether suffered by you or a third party. The use of information provided by entrants shall be governed by the privacy policy of Jobson and applicable law. This Contest is void wherever prohibited or restricted by law, and is subject to all applicable laws and regulations. Winner is solely responsible for all applicable taxes and fees.

Winners List: The name and/or photo of the winner of the Contest will be published in the 20/20 Europe website following winner notification and verification. For the name of the prize winner, visit the 20/20 Europe website or mail a self-addressed, stamped envelope postmarked by 15 January 2006 to the Jobson European Correspondence Office, Attn: Customer Service-Contest Winner.
